My friend, after a week that saw me find something worth more than rubbies, I received a sermon that opened my eyes to another dimension. This is a break down of that sermon that made me stop tithing
1. I owe God nothing, I have no debt because it was all paid at the cross.
2. All that I have belongs to God
3. The tithe is part of the old covenant but we live under the new one.
At this point I see you cringing at my comments and even thinking i need help.
If God owns all you have then i don't think when it comes to giving you will start to compute how much to return to HIM.
Anyway, GOD loves a cheerful giver.
NOW I DON'T HAVE TO SUBJECT GOD TO THE CALCULATOR MULTIPLYING HIS STUFF BY 0.1 AND FEELING GOOD ABOUT IT!!
I feel like 100% that's what its gonna be!!
Please don't miss understand me but... if it is more than 10% it is not a tithe... Let him that has a brain think about why I stopped tithing!!

Indeed, how do you decide to give God part of what belongs to Him anyway? Well I learnt something very important. God doesn't need your tithe! Yeah. As a matter of fact, tithing is more for our benefit than anything else. It's merely to remind us that God gave us evrything, the least we can do is also be givers. Tithe keeps us mindful of who is our source. So, I'll keep tithing. I'm working on increasing it above the 0.1!
Alas Kamara,Ha! That's a nice one. It's time to experience the freedom Christ died for in our loving, giving, prosperity etc etc etc. Go on brother, 100% aint tithe. It's giving, sowing abundantly. Your thought world is rather fast and furious.
I was out with friends last night and one of the topics of discussion was the state of the churc today. Can you beleive that there is one pentecostal church where every registered member has to fill out a delaration of wealth: house, car, tv, chickens etc. And then your tithe is determined for you!!!!!
Where did belief and sacrifice end and cut throat business start?
